Winchester Posted May 10, 2013 Posted May 10, 2013 I know, we should fly the clean-burning Air Force One on some mission to tell us how the government can solve our climate change problems by giving money to corporate entities!
KnightofChrist Posted May 10, 2013 Posted May 10, 2013 I use to believe in man made global warming when I was young and was taught it in school via fear mongering. What I was taught then was that by now the ice caps would have melted, the seas would rise, there would be much more hurricanes, the hole in the ozone layer would have grown to a apocalyptic size, the rain forest would be gone, the temps would be again apocalyptic, and a lot of other bullflop that never came true. If man made global warming is true, then the advocates that believe in it must stop treating it like an article of faith, and stop lying to people using apocalyptic fear tactics that do not come true.
Winchester Posted May 10, 2013 Posted May 10, 2013 What's the carbon footprint of the president's motorcade?
arfink Posted May 10, 2013 Posted May 10, 2013 Or I could ride my bicycle and just not bother with buying a car, because global warming broke-ness.
Winchester Posted May 10, 2013 Posted May 10, 2013 How much CO2 is emitted to keep the war machine running all over the globe?
Winchester Posted May 10, 2013 Posted May 10, 2013 The military will develop cleaner burning fuel-air bombs. We will only incinerate non-combatants if we can minimize air pollution!
arfink Posted May 10, 2013 Posted May 10, 2013 That reminds me. It's chili night. Gonna drop some fuel-air bombs?
Papist Posted May 10, 2013 Posted May 10, 2013 Gonna drop some fuel-air bombs? Going to be an air raid.

PadrePioOfPietrelcino Posted May 10, 2013 Posted May 10, 2013 If we keep up the corn subsidy, maybe we'll starve enough people in the undeserving third world. Ethanol and fewer humans! Score! If North Sudan stopped trying to take the tribal lands in Darfur that region alone could solve Africa's food shortage problem too...plus the aquifers in that region could solve the entire Eastern African water shortage problem...
Winchester Posted May 10, 2013 Posted May 10, 2013 If North Sudan stopped trying to take the tribal lands in Darfur that region alone could solve Africa's food shortage problem too...plus the aquifers in that region could solve the entire Eastern African water shortage problem... That would be fine, too. I think you missed the point that our wonderful Party o' Teh Environment is just as guilty at the other head on the single 'merican party.
4588686 Posted May 10, 2013 Author Posted May 10, 2013 (edited) I use to believe in man made global warming when I was young and was taught it in school via fear mongering. If man made global warming is true, then the advocates that believe in it must stop treating it like an article of faith, and stop lying to people using apocalyptic fear tactics that do not come true.I don't know what world you live in but the ice caps have been melting faster than anticipated. Rain Forest depletion exacerbates climate change but is not really a cause or effect. That's a separate issue. As is the Ozone layer. There is a massive hole in the ozone layer. That has gotten much better because we passed legislation that greatly curbed to use of CFCs. Edited May 10, 2013 by Hasan
ardillacid Posted May 10, 2013 Posted May 10, 2013 Thanks, conservatives. I find it amusing that the pro-life, pro-family crowd is apparently so ambivalent about totally flooping over their kids. Speaking of fucking over kids, of the two of us, who helped put a man in power who thinks it's just peachy to puncture the skull of an unborn child and vacuum the brains out?
ardillacid Posted May 10, 2013 Posted May 10, 2013 Certainly the (subsidized) process of producing batteries for cars will lead to enough deaths amongst the Chinese that there will be less human population to demand products that ultimately result in rising CO2. If we keep up the corn subsidy, maybe we'll starve enough people in the undeserving third world. Ethanol and fewer humans! Score! Perhaps the current administration intends to set up a barrier between us and the Sun by sending shards of foreigners into the air using drone programs to blow them to pieces. I know, we should fly the clean-burning Air Force One on some mission to tell us how the government can solve our climate change problems by giving money to corporate entities! What's the carbon footprint of the president's motorcade? How much CO2 is emitted to keep the war machine running all over the globe? The military will develop cleaner burning fuel-air bombs. We will only incinerate non-combatants if we can minimize air pollution! Holy shit, you are on a roll today :ohno:
Socrates Posted May 10, 2013 Posted May 10, 2013 Thanks, conservatives. I find it amusing that the pro-life, pro-family crowd is apparently so ambivalent about totally flooping over their kids. Why, you're very welcome. Glad we conservative pro-life, pro-family folks give you such amusement. Anything to make your day a little more fun. It's also really funny how only pro-life, pro-family conservatives drive cars and otherwise put that horrible, awful, evil, evil carbon dioxide into the air. I guess it's comforting to know that all you liberals, leftists (and everyone else who is not conservative, pro-life, or pro-family) live naked in the jungle in carbon-neutral mud huts, and only travel by magical emission-free flying unicorns (not to be confused with those carbon-farting horses). Leftists, of course, never pollute the environment or produce emissions. We all know how the USSR and Red China were/are models of environmental cleanliness and health. It's all those damned conservative pro-lifers! But, not to fear; lefty pro-abortion Dear Leader's in the White House, so all's well. (This is the moment the rise of the oceans begins to slow, and all that good stuff.) I personally blame Barrack for all those record-cold temps we've been having lately. More socialism and government tax-and-spending will save us from all our problems!
Socrates Posted May 10, 2013 Posted May 10, 2013 One has to wonder if massive roads built by the Glorious Liberal/Conservative State Apparat had anything to do with this. Oh, no. Gubbmint roads good. Interstate Good. Because Interstate Gubbmint. It's impossible to be a statist and an environmentalist. So there would be no system of roads in the Anarcho-Capitalist Utopia? Interesting.
Socrates Posted May 10, 2013 Posted May 10, 2013 Speaking of flooping over kids, of the two of us, who helped put a man in power who thinks it's just peachy to puncture the skull of an unborn child and vacuum the brains out? Oh, but killing babies is Good for the Planet!
