I actually really like the Eastern Rite Liturgy. My mom is Maronite and we used to go to the Maronite church quite frequently when I was a kid, but I'm sure that the Syro-Malabar Rite is different. I would love to be able to see it. Oh wait, what's the difference between the Syro-Malabar and Syro Malankara? Is one Catholic and the other Orthodox? I thought this community became Catholic. Thijs Posted May 30, 2013 Author Posted May 30, 2013 Syro Malankara and Syro Malabar are 2 different Eastern Rites in the Catholic Church. Syro_Malabar has a painful history you may check this and has the lesser number of members compare to Syro-malabar
