BostonMarine Posted May 30, 2013 Posted May 30, 2013 (edited) Maybe I missed it, but I can't find any thread for newcomers to say "Hi; I'm here" and break the ice. So, "Hi." I'm Mike, from Boston. I'm presently the Associate Director for Communications for the New England Province of Jesuits (Society of Jesus). Based on my username you may have also already gathered that I served as a US Marine. I enjoy browsing the forum from time to time, but figured I should post some sort of ice breaker before I wade into the deep stuff. :) AMDG! Edited May 30, 2013 by BostonMarine
BostonMarine Posted May 30, 2013 Author Posted May 30, 2013 Welcome. Don't let anyone chase you off. Is that a common problem? :)
Lilllabettt Posted May 30, 2013 Posted May 30, 2013 Hi Mike. I'm Betsy. I'm moving to Boston at the end of summer. Are you a Jesuit? Welcome to phatmass!!
PhuturePriest Posted May 30, 2013 Posted May 30, 2013 Is that a common problem? :) Welcome! It's not a problem unless you don't like sarcasm. We take pride in our mastery of sarcasm.
Chestertonian Posted May 30, 2013 Posted May 30, 2013 Thanks for your service, Mike. Nice to meet ya.
BostonMarine Posted May 30, 2013 Author Posted May 30, 2013 Hi Mike. I'm Betsy. I'm moving to Boston at the end of summer. Are you a Jesuit? Welcome to phatmass!! Hi, Betsy. I am a transplant to Boston as well. I have a feeling you'll love this very beautiful, very active, and very Catholic city. I am not a Jesuit; I just work for the order at their provincial offices for New England. (I get asked that a lot when I tell people I work for or am calling from the Jesuits, and I sometimes even get mail with a "Fr." mistakenly added before my name.)
the171 Posted May 30, 2013 Posted May 30, 2013 Anyway welcome! And thank you so much for your service. A few of my friends are Marines.
