Deleting Members And Posts...

There are a lot of people who made accounts and still actively lurk. 

 

Perhaps this doesn't apply to my account, since I was somewhat active when I first joined in '06 (gosh that was a while ago!), but what determines having less than 20 posts? For example, my account says that I have just over 800 posts, but I know for a fact that I have not posted more than 10 times in the past year. I am one of those people who tend to lurk while not logging into my account regularly, but occasionally I'll find a post that I'd like to reply to. It could very well be my own ignorance of technology that is making me ask this question, haha, but I thought I should bring it up.

lol, fair enough. However, you still have not answered my question of your definition of the word 'it' in this context (well, the context in which you were using it before). Choosing which accounts to delete is a tough call, but it certainly makes sense that some weeding is needed--especially of spam accounts and accounts that are still validating.

 

The tougher call is deleting accounts which were active, but haven't been active for awhile. This thread will remind me to log in and post at least once in awhile.

 

One account I'd like to ask not to be deleted is that of Laetitia Crucis. She hasn't posted in a couple of years because, as a postulant/novice, she had no access to Phatmass. However, LC (who is now Sister Mary Catherine) will be taking first vows on Oct 5. Soon after that, LC will be making a 2-week home visit. (I don't know the dates yet, but will post them when/if I know them.) I know that probably one, if not the first place she will go to on the computer is her "home" on Phatmass. She has lots of friends here who I know will be wanting to talk to her. Thanks!

You already have over 400 posts. I'd never delete a member who has that many posts. I haven't even considered deleting a member with over 10 posts.

I have not read the entire thread but I can tell you that you can delete Fisherman and Fisherman_2 ( or something like that). those used to be mine I have lost my passwords way back then and the emails connected with them no longer exist. then also I have moved passed the immaturity that those old members were associated with them.

Hi dUSt & pham, just wanted to let y'all know I am still here on the periphery. :blush:  I sign in & lurk mostly from my semismart phone. For now, I get too many glitches to carry on any real conversations on here. Thanks for not deleting me, :topsy: .
