Alcohol And Christian Catholics

So i was thinking we should say a prayer everytime before we have a drink of alcohol. A prayer like " lord jesus please forbid that i/we ever become a drunkard." and then an our father. And then on top of that every subsequent alcoholic drink after that 1st one we must do a sign of the cross with the words in the name of the,father and the son and the holy spirit, but if in public just a sign of the cross and the words said in the mind/thought prayer, discreetly but don't panic if anyone sees you, your not doing it for show. HOWZAT?
