I have a Doctorate in mathematics from M.I.T. And an M.D. From Harvard Med. I also went to cosmetology school.

[BigJon16]

Working on a bachelors in Philosophy.. 2017, God willing.

[4588686]

MA in philosophy

[AugustineA]

Bachelors in history, associates in bio. I had no direction in terms of grad. school. Encouraged to go into engineering. I did some grad work in psych and didn't find it appealing. Accepted into a number of law schools but didn't feel passionate about it.  I'd like to be a literature or history professor, but I'm already making a professor's salary at this company, so that's kind of a difficult step.. :T

I have a PhD in history of literature

[AugustineA]

Teach me everything.

[CrossCuT]

PHD in theoretical mathematics with a masters in puns and witticism.

[BG45]

In August I graduate with a PhD in Criminology, walking though on May 10th.  Until then, a Masters in Criminal Justice.  I know we have at least three or four people hanging around who do have a doctorate in something or another and an M.D. or two.

Is your ideal career in forensics or law enforcement?  What do you plan to do?

[BG45]

Oh I fully intend to teach.  :)  Have a temp job lined up next year at my alma mater, that the department chair and I are trying to get the administration to roll over into a tenure track line.  I love being able to help the students out some, enjoy the student-prof interaction, finding news stories relating to what we're going to cover each day, and getting to keep on learning each semester as part of the job.  (Less thrilled with committee work, but it's part of the job and teaches new skills too.)

Not qualified to do forensics work unfortunately, and overqualified to do a lot of stuff.  I know folks who do Program Analyst jobs with the FBI with their PhDs in Crim., but they say it's absolutely mind numbing work!

[Archaeology cat]

Masters in Egyptology
