beatitude Posted October 5, 2014 Share Posted October 5, 2014 (edited) Recently I came across this beautiful community, the Society of Our Mother of Peace, which has a branch for priests and one for nuns and exists in the Philippines, the USA, and Nigeria. They were founded by a Carmelite priest and are strongly influenced by the spirituality of St John of the Cross. Their life is deeply contemplative, with some missionary work (not that much - most of their day is devoted to prayer). Some sisters live in a convent, others in a laura of hermitages. I noticed that their age limit is 56, which seems quite a bit higher than the usual. I hadn't seen them mentioned on VS and thought they deserve to be spotlighted. :) Edited to correct the link.
