One of the books that spoke to me about the religious life and discerning a vocation was a book published by the Daughters of St. Paul that I read in eighth grade, around 1965. I must have read that book three or four times! I wish I could find a copy of it again, though I'm sure that it's long out of print. It was a collection of essays/stories of young women's personal journeys to listen to the call of their hearts to live a life consecrated to God. I'm 62 now, so it must have made quite an impression on me to have remembered it as one of my favorite books of my childhood!
