onajourney Posted February 6, 2015 Posted February 6, 2015 The most recent newsletter. Bursting out of their present quarters. http://norbertinesisters.org/pdf/NL_issue35_FINAL_WEBVERSION.pdf
Sr Mary Catharine OP Posted February 6, 2015 Posted February 6, 2015 They are bursting out of their TINY chapel but not their present monastery. I believe they can have 40-50 sisters. Something like that. It's too bad they didn't plan the chapel into the plans of the new building originally. The chapel was way too small long ago!
onajourney Posted February 7, 2015 Author Posted February 7, 2015 Thank you for the clarification. For some reason I thought they were living in modular/temporary buildings. At least I'm glad there is enough room outside of the Chapel.
littlesister Posted February 7, 2015 Posted February 7, 2015 This newsletter is beautiful. Does everyone know that their are also active Norbertine Sisters in Wilmington CA ? We're practically neighbors. They came to the U.S. from Slovakia in 2011, and already have postulants and active discerners.
Marie Villalovos Smith Posted February 7, 2015 Posted February 7, 2015 Yes!! The Sisters have been in Wilmington for about 4 years now..they work hand in hand with the Norbertine Priests and brothers and Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church. Love that church. Went to School in Wilmington and attended St. P@P years back..beautiful church
