truthfinder Posted February 24, 2015 Posted February 24, 2015 Such good new for them. There were many other interesting tidbits in that newsletter including expecting a large postulant reception later this year, the solemn professed indeed received choir veils (thus explaining being longer); and those making solemn profession received Communion by intinction.
Sponsa-Christi Posted February 24, 2015 Posted February 24, 2015 (edited) This is just sort of professional curiosity as a canonist, but I thought these Sisters had already gotten approval several years ago to have the privilege of solemn vows? It seems odd that a community would have actual solemn vows (as opposed to just informally calling a life-long but technically private vow "solemn") before that community was formally recognized as a religious institute. Were they maybe something like a daughter house of an established monastery before? But in any case, congratulations to this community! Edited February 24, 2015 by Sponsa-Christi
TheresaThoma Posted February 24, 2015 Posted February 24, 2015 Wonderful news! I believe they currently have 4 postulants, and that is awesome news if they are getting more!
