Feankie Posted August 28, 2015 Posted August 28, 2015 Just received an email from Ann Arbor with the topic being today is the day the DSMME's receive their new postulants. It didn't say how many are entering, so I guess we'll just have to wait and see.
Charbel Posted August 28, 2015 Posted August 28, 2015 I was going to post something about this too! A friend of mine is one of the new postulants!
Sr Mary Catharine OP Posted August 28, 2015 Posted August 28, 2015 I believe there are 12 postulants this year.

TheresaThoma Posted August 29, 2015 Posted August 29, 2015 Soooooo is it too soon to ask if anyone on here is going on their retreat in November? I am!! Its so far away!! There is never a too soon time to ask this! I'm not going but if you do go you may run into a former PMer. Lisa now known as Sr Ireneus (I can never spell her name right).

vee Posted August 30, 2015 Posted August 30, 2015 patience obtains all things, like photos on their facebook page of the group before and after putting on their new outfits
DominicanHeart Posted August 30, 2015 Posted August 30, 2015 They're so beautiful! God Bless them all!
TheresaThoma Posted August 30, 2015 Posted August 30, 2015 Oh yay! I love that the shared a before and after picture!
IgnatiusofLoyola Posted August 30, 2015 Posted August 30, 2015 I agree--I love the "before" and "after" pictures. If there ever was a question that how you dress makes a communication to the world of who you are, these two photos graphically illustrate the impact of what we wear. BTW--I'm NOT saying that one picture is "good" and the other picture is "bad" or "less good." Both pictures are good. Among other things, in both pictures, the women come across as enthusiastic and happy to be making the step they are about to make/have just made. But, until I looked specifically at individual faces, on a quick glance I wouldn't necessarily have known for sure that this was the exact same group of women. Their change in dress makes a dramatic statement of the significance of the change they have just made in their lives. I pray that God gives good things to all these women, whether it is God's will that they persevere in the religious life with the DSMMEs, or whether taking this step helps them learn important lessons that they would not have learned otherwise, but, that ultimately, God wants them to live their lives either in another religious Community, in marriage, or in some other calling.
Charbel Posted August 31, 2015 Posted August 31, 2015 Thanks for posting the photo's veritas and vee! My friend is the one in the red shirt on the far left in the "before" picture and she's in the back row, far left in the "after" picture. God bless these new little postulants!
Thijs Posted August 31, 2015 Posted August 31, 2015 I'm wondering on when will they start receiving vocations from their priory in Texas?
Jennifer Posted August 31, 2015 Posted August 31, 2015 Thanks for sharing this wonderful news.......many prayers for the new postulants and all at Ann Abor.
