Wow this is beautiful - I love the second picture.  It reminds me of St. Teresa in ecstasy!

For those who are new to Phatmass, Sister Maria Teresa (Lauren), the nun in these pictures, is a former Phatmasser!

BTW--I noticed one small error in the article. In the earliest pictures of Sister Maria Teresa, when she is in a blue jumper (hence a "bluebird,") she is a postulant, (not a novice, as the article describes her). Novices in the Summit Dominican Community (as they do in every Dominican Community that I am aware of) wear the same habit as the Sisters in first/final/solemn vows, but with a white veil.

I believe this is the one that came out on Saturday: http://www.nytimes.com/2015/09/06/fashion/dominican-nuns-of-summit-a-nuns-life.html?_r=0 It is also very good.
