The Little Sisters of the Poor have a "Spring into Service" program for college students / young adults.  Participants have had some wonderful comments, and many have found it to be a good discernment opportunity.

I did this one summer in Pittsburgh and it was one of the greatest summers of my life! Living with and learning from the sisters changed me for the better. You get to experience the flow of the LSOP's life first hand for an extended amount of time, but also have the freedom to develop on your own. In Pittsburgh my room was ten feet from the chapel! The residents are all amazing people, and it was a joy to serve them. I highly recommend this to any young woman discerning religious life.
