I guess it's OK to post this here as it is posted on the Facebook page of the Summit Dominicans.  Please keep Sr. Mary Catharine in your prayers.  It seems that her mother passed on July 02.  

Eternal rest, grant unto her O Lord and let perpetual light shine upon her always.  May she rest in peace.

Thank you, everyone for your loving prayers for my mother. She was suffering a lot these past few months and she was just waiting to go home to God. So that was a consolation! I miss her of course!

Her wake and funeral were beautiful and was held at the convent of my former community, the Slaves of the Immaculate Heart of Mary. The funeral mass was a Requiem and the altar servers (all 7 of them) were sons of former schoolmates who evidently grew up and got married! :-) 

The outpouring of love and prayers has been such a comfort! I was also happy we have permission to go our parents' funerals! It means a lot for the family, as well.
