A Little Laugh

So, I've told a couple of my close friends my plans to apply for entrance to a community, with the remark that it may be a few years because of student loans. I called one of them Sunday to tell her. Our conversation went something like this:

Friend: "Have you been ok? You seem to have disappeared from group messages for a while."

Me: "Oh, I'm fine. I was traveling."

Friend: "I think you have a secret boyfriend. Are you hiding a boyfriend from us?"

Me: "Well, no...I have a secret convent."

Friend. "Oh. Oh, I was way off."
