Simple Pleasures

I woke up early this morning and had a big glass of water. Feel so much better now.

Another one is walking into an air conditioned room on a hot summer day. One of the best feelings.

What are some simple pleasures that you enjoy?

Rain in my tin roof as I drift off to sleep.

That first cup of coffee in the morning.

A walk on a sunny mild day - or a walk in the rain rugged up with umbrella.

For some reason I really like a straight razor shave. The whole process kind of relaxes me, because it forces me to slow everything down and think about what I am doing (otherwise I cut myself).

I can rode a bike again ! I haven't done that in TEN YEARS !! But on Saturday, I asked a friend if I could try her bike and she said yes. At first, I was so afraid, but now, I can bike as long as I can. I feel free, and alive, and like if my body is... living. I'm so, so, so, happy. I'm using it everyday, and everytime, I'm just smiling. 

Also : buying a "baguette" at the local bakery, and eating a little bit of it on my way. The best part of going to the bakery. Specially when it's cold outside and the bread is hot and smell good.

My grandchildren:  as they snuggle on me and relax in their favorite spot on Nana and I hear the sounds of their heavy sighs, feeling the weight of their small bodies as they drift off to sleep.  Yeah.....

Food wise, anything cheesy, garlicky and Italian.  A spoonful of Jif peanut butter....

Nothing tops the grandkids, though

I like the feeling of having a free afternoon with nothing planned or required.
