Yesenia E Salamanca Posted December 28, 2018 Posted December 28, 2018 I agree every religious order is beautiful. Like St Therese says if every flower were to be a rose, nature would lose its beauty. To tell you the truth I really feel attracted to perpetual adoration but that the order is not relaxed. Meaning that they do penance. Some sisters who live in an atmosphere of perpetual adoration don't really practice at least penance since they have to be up at night.
Yesenia E Salamanca Posted December 28, 2018 Posted December 28, 2018 Of course! Thanks for the recall.
Yesenia E Salamanca Posted December 28, 2018 Posted December 28, 2018 Just to let you know I am kind of worry and my conscience even tells me I believe without a doubt that I read that some abuses did occur within the TM. I did visit the Sisters of Perpetual Adoration located in SF, CA but they don't have perpetual adoration any longer due to the lack of religious sisters. I visited the Brigintines in Tijuana, the Servants of Mary Ministers of the Sick, and the Poor Clares COlettines in Santa Barbara. The thing is that my previous spiritual director did tell me not to visit no more religious orders. Now, that spiritual director is no longer guiding me since he left to the missions. I have another spiritual director the one that I mentioned and he knows that my spiritual director's advise. Therefore I will tell him about the situation and see what happens.
badro Posted December 28, 2018 Posted December 28, 2018 Hey. Change please the topic to write about other orders. This one is about SMMI and Elusabetta Patrizi. Thanks

Patrizi still hold spiritual conferences and makes her living that way she has a small following. That is all I know the order was completely disbanded in 2014. That is all I know. Why don't the members of that order that existed make a new one?
Ash Wednesday Posted January 14, 2019 Posted January 14, 2019 I've had some requests sent in to "change the topic" title. Each thread stays on a certain topic, users should keep the discussion on topic and the thread title is not supposed to be changed just because people want to change the discussion in the thread. If you want a different topic related to this to be discussed, you need to start a new thread. Thanks.

If there's an issue and you're restricted from seeing or using the new thread option, it might be due to being a new user and having a low post count.
Saint Lemon Posted January 18, 2019 Author Posted January 18, 2019 To keep this on topic, the investigation is ongoing with the stories of survivors being in alignment in terms of narrative os abuse. If anyone knows of anyone else who was involved in this order or was affected by it in any way, please PM me and I will reply as soon as possible. Thank you.
Saint Lemon Posted February 13, 2019 Author Posted February 13, 2019 The abuse within the order has come to light. While not specifically mentioned, a survivor of the SMMI was quoted about the order at the end of this interview: https://www.wnycstudios.org/story/one-former-nun-story-sexual-abuse-catholic-church

I was a brother for 7 years in the order. Corimports@gmail.com pax

TheDude Posted February 14, 2019 Posted February 14, 2019 This format is confusing. Who can email me info? I put Sr. Roberta in her tomb in Montefalco. I would be happy to hear all and everything to have a balanced judgment. There were many sublime moments, solid spiritual background, and tough times too. I don't take declarations of evil lightly though and lived with the Brothers, so filtered and separated. Imprisonment? Beatings? You are making it sound like a complete horror show which I did not experience. Please keep me informed with every testimony you have in hand for a complete discernment. Sincerely, The Dude
Saint Lemon Posted February 14, 2019 Author Posted February 14, 2019 Dear "Dude", If you wish to know more, please private message me via this site and I will get back to you as soon as I can.. The declarations of abuse have backing in survivor testimony as well as documentation I have acquired. As far as your comments os it being "a complete horror show", please allow my documents and shred testimony to show that the behavior of the group was beyond the pale. Even reporters who doubted what was accused have acquiesced after the documentation and testimony of abuse that was provided. The order was a nightmare in every sense of the word. Sincerely, St. Lemon

tricia253@gmail.com Posted May 4, 2019 Posted May 4, 2019 I am the mother of a woman who was a member of the SMMI from 2000-2012. She e-mailed me when she left the order and has not spoken to me since. I had no idea why until I read this article today. Could you please send me more information on this as her birthday is on May 17 and I already purchased a card and I need to know how to proceed with this info. I have a background in mental health counseling, and I am a victim of sexual and emotional abuse, so it's not foreign to me. God bless you, Patricia E Wright
Saint Lemon Posted May 5, 2019 Author Posted May 5, 2019 Patricia, please email me via this site if you wish. I have also emailed you via your address given.
Saint Lemon Posted November 23, 2019 Author Posted November 23, 2019 (edited) Does anyone know if Elisabetta Patrizi is still alive or where she is? Reports have said she was sick for some time. Other people are saying she is in Italy publishing books and they are available on a few sights, not to mention her Shroud of Turin work. If anyone has any ideas and can help, please let me know. Thank you. Edited November 23, 2019 by Saint Lemon

Blessed! Posted June 28, 2020 Posted June 28, 2020 Please enlighten me on all of this! I left that order in 2006 for personal reasons (that had nothing to do with any of the above) and since then, I've been in the dark as to what actually happened to the Order. I had 8 yrs of amazing religious life, so yeah, please tell me more!
