DameAgnes Posted January 26, 2017 Posted January 26, 2017 She should be the patron saint of monastic discerning! http://aleteia.org/2017/01/26/leonie-martin-st-thereses-difficult-sister-continues-on-the-road-to-canonization/
OnlySunshine Posted January 26, 2017 Posted January 26, 2017 I've always been really fond of Leonie. So exciting to hear her canonization is getting closer to reality!
Lamb Posted January 27, 2017 Posted January 27, 2017 This is wonderful! I hope she is declared venerable very soon!
truthfinder Posted January 27, 2017 Posted January 27, 2017 It sounds like there's already been miracles, which means that, deo vult, if she's made venerable the case towards canonization should hopefully be rather smooth. I've liked Leonie as long as I've known about her; I think many people who do not like Therese because she comes off as too saccharine would like her, and they essentially followed the same way: Leonie as Therese's first follower of a sorts.
Jubilate Deo Posted January 27, 2017 Posted January 27, 2017 That whole family had a receptivity to holiness, from what I've read. The parents are canonized, Therese is canonized, Leonie is moving toward canonization...wow. That's amazing.
NadaTeTurbe Posted January 27, 2017 Posted January 27, 2017 There's a very well done website about Leonie Martin in english : http://leoniemartin.org/
Guest Posted January 28, 2017 Posted January 28, 2017 I have always like Leonie, while not knowing all that much in detail about her. I was going to ask for a good book. Thanks for the site, Nada, I don't think I will need that book.
