If you are interested in sisters under communism in Eastern Europe, you should definitely watch the documentary "Interrupted Lives," which was released in 2009 by two Sisters of St. Joseph who interviewed dozens of sisters in several countries. I highly recommend it (note: I served as a consultant on the film). It has been shown on PBS and EWTN.
