The book, "Life With Mother Superior," by Jean Trahey is quite entertaining. (It was the basis for the Trouble with Angels.) Much of it is biographical. Her only major dramatic licence was in making it a situation where she and Mary Clancy were boarders, where it actually was not boarding school.Her boarding school details are based on her time at Mundelein College.
