Not one word about the victims. Not a single word about the damage done to the victims. Not a single word about the lives ruined. You can't separate "the action and behavior from the person"- these actions and behaviors are who these pedophiles and rapists are. They, along with the people who covered up for them and continue to make excuses for them are evil.

The.bishops. just. don't. get. it.  Freaking unbelievable.

this story is 20 to 30 years old, most of the priest (listed) are dead, the remaining are well beyond the statue of limitations.

Could it be that this story has been resurrected to disparage and degrade Catholics and Trump's nominee for the Supreme Court who is a devout Catholic who allegedly holds antiabortion believes.

Why else would this old news be brought up at this time?

What are you talking about? These priests themselves have disparaged and degraded Catholics. Let the media expose the filth. The fact that this story needed to be resurrected (because it was buried) is disturbing.

the investigation  dates back over 70 years, as I previously stated "most of the priest (listed) are dead, the remaining are well beyond the statue of limitations".   Not that time diminishes the crime, for they are heinous.

the facts stated in this report are not buried and have been public information for years.

"We should never simply shrug and turn a blind eye toward evil, as if the fact that it has always existed makes it any less appalling or egregious. The sooner we acknowledge the dark reality of our situation, the sooner we can begin to remedy it."

In nearly every case, prosecutors found that the statute of limitations has run out, meaning that criminal charges cannot be filed. More than 100 of the priests are dead. Many others are retired or have been dismissed from the priesthood or put on leave.

Authorities charged just two as a result of the grand jury investigation, including a priest who has since pleaded guilty, though some of those named had been charged years ago.

You do realize the corruption is not only in the abuse but the systematic cover-up of all this by the Church institution itself? All the way up to the highest places in the Vatican. Your comments are insane. You think this is about Trump? You're delusional. I'm going to have to block you. Bury your head in the sand even deeper or realize now at this moment the Catholic Church has been a safe haven for pedophiles and child abusers for a long time. This isn't some attack on Cathlics and Trump. This is what happens when you forbid marriage and turn away good men from seminaries and the priesthood. Imagine if straight men with wives or men who might be interested in a wife later in life were allowed in the seminaries and able to become priests? You think this would be happening to this extent? Of course not because the straight men would call out these guys in the seminaries and out all these gay bishops as well. You're out of your mind trying to downplay all of this like it's no big deal. Catholics like you severely tempt me from leaving Catholicism. With this bs and your racist comments and Trump worshiping croutons. Coupling that with a Church that systematically protects pedophiles it's too much. Where two or more are gathered in Jesus name there he is in the midst of them. Catholics don't have a monopoly on Jesus. He's in other Trinitarian Churches as well.

What is your point? That "just two" priests being charged is insignificant? That the negatively affected lives of the victims don't matter? That "just two" priests molesting children is ok? What do you mean by JUST two?

Please explain. Where's the hateful lies? For crying out loud Cardinal McCarick was in charge of overseeing the sexual abuse crisis in America and here he was having sex with teenagers and men. He even had settlements before coming Cardinal. People told the Vatican and nothing was done. He was still promoted. Theres absolute evidence of systematic cover up of the sexual abuse all the way up to the popes lying and hiding it. You're clueless. I don't know why I even bother responding to you.

your wrong about the Catholic Church , I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Holy Catholic Church, the communion of Saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and life everlasting.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I believe in God,
the Father Almighty,
Creator of heaven and earth,
and in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord,
who was conceived by the Holy Spirit,
born of the Virgin Mary,
suffered under Pontius Pilate,
was crucified, died and was buried;
He descended into hell;
on the third day He rose again from the dead;
He ascended into heaven,
and is seated at the right hand of God the Father Almighty;
from there He will come to judge the living and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit,
the Holy Catholic Church,
the communion of Saints,
the forgiveness of sins,
the resurrection of the body,
and life everlasting.

Amen.

I didn't believe this actually came from the USCCB website, so I went there... This is actually real. How can we get these wolves out of the flock?

The Pope should bring back a modern form of Inquisitors. Imprison those that cover up the crimes against nature, imprison and even put to death those that commit these crimes against nature.

But the Vatican at a press conference would not even answer questions or make any statement about the PA abuse report. What secular institution on Earth could get away with such a BS dodge?!  Why does Pope Francis show such a complete lack of leadership in this crisis? Why has he been so friendly with the Cardinals accused of hiding this vile behavior? What the blank is wrong with him? I'm sorry but what the blank is wrong with him? Where is his leadership? Is he going to just sit back and hope it blows over? Is he just going to sit back and "accept" resignations instead of forcefully kicking these jackholes out of leadership and the Church?

So this is why the Pope said the death penalty is inadmissable in all cases....perfect timing!
