There is a very nice video on the website.  I could be wrong, but I think the nuns are barefoot at private prayer only.  Other times they seem to wear sandals and often with socks.  I did like the simplicity of their lifestyle.

There is a "Let's Chat" in real time on the video - I didn't try it out.

Yes, this video is taken from the same Carmel.  In the tropics, its normal to go barefoot when inside the house.
