The comedian I've been following for the past year or so is John Crist (you can probably tell by all his videos I posted on the laughter being the best medicine thread).  He is evangelical, not Catholic (at least not yet, maybe we can spend some time with him  ):

"My dad died unexpectedly. I’m an only child and he was a part of our lives every day. Took our kids to all of their activities. This is a hard loss, so please pray for us."
