Supreme Court to Hear Abortion Case Challenging Roe v. Wade

The case, arising from a Mississippi law that bans most abortions after 15 weeks, could undermine the constitutional right established in Roe v. Wade.

The case will be the first major abortion dispute to test all three of former President Donald Trump’s appointees to the top court, including its newest member, Justice Amy Coney Barrett.

The top court announced in an order that it will hear the dispute, Dobbs vs. Jackson Women’s Health Organization, 19-1392. The court will hear the case in its term beginning in October and a decision is likely to come by June of 2022.

the only reason they would have taken the case, is because they plan on significant or major changes to abortion case law. at least, the case seemed pretty settled as far as current case law dictates... so with all the new judges, major change seems the point, and likely.

The impact of the Food and Drug Administration’s decision to allow pharmacies to dispense abortion pills may be far more limited than abortion advocates, and the Biden administration, had hoped for.

Since the agency’s announcement three weeks ago, a trio of major pharmacy chains — Walgreens, CVS and Rite Aid — has said they would apply to dispense the medication, mifepristone, ONLY in at least some states where abortion is legal

VP :jester: makes a little faux pas 

Omitting the word "Life" speaks volumes. That was no accident!  She also omitted the phrase, "Endowed by our Creator" in that passage too.

"We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness."
