‘X’ gender marker

DENVER (AP) — The United States has issued its first passport with an “X” gender designation.

The sex chromosomes are referred to as X and Y, and their combination determines a person's sex. Typically, human females have two X chromosomes while males possess an XY pairing. ... Whether a person has XX or XY chromosomes is determined when a sperm fertilizes an egg.

XX chromosomes = female

XY  chromosomes = male

X (only) chromosomes = neither.

“X” gender designation is a political, unscientific and in my opinion, delusional classification.

FACT:  Females have a pair of X chromosomes (46, XX), whereas males have one X and one Y chromosomes (46, XY). Chromosomes are made of DNA, and genes are special units of chromosomal DNA.
