Did you know that there is an ancient Islamic prediction for the "Last Hour" that we Christians might think of as the "Latter days" that fits perfectly with the predictions in Isaiah chapter thirty five?

Quote

Book 005, Number 2208:
"Abu Huraira reported Allah's Messenger (way peace be upon him) as saying: The Last Hour will not come before wealth becomes abundant and overflowing, so much so that a man takes Zakat out of his property and cannot find anyone to accept it from him and till the land of Arabia becomes meadows and rivers."
SAHIH MUSLIM, BOOK 25: The Book on General Behaviour (Kitab Al-Adab)

New Mexico biologist and coach Mr. Car. Cantrell wrote all of this up in a way that has the potential to even rival the Carbon Tax theory put forward by Mr. Al Gore in his film "An Inconvenient Truth."

Quote

Carl Cantrell.....  "So how is our problem of continental drying causing global warming? It all has to do with vegetation and sunlight. When sun light hits a plant, it causes a process which we call photosynthesis where the energy from the sun light creates oxygen for us to breath, water for us to drink, and is stored as sugar for plants and animals to use. When the same sun light hits the soil, all of its energy turns into heat and is radiated back into the atmosphere, carried away by running surface water such as rain fall, is carried away to other areas by our winds, and diffuses down into the soil towards the earth's crust. All of this warms our planet increasing its average temperature.

Therefore, the less vegetation you have on the planet, the more sunlight is being turned into heat and the warmer the planet becomes. This is very critical because warmer and dryer winds dry out other land areas faster decreasing the vegetation on those land areas. Less humidity in the air also reflects less sun light back out into space so that more sun light strikes the earth and more heat is generated.

The truth is that you can do more to decrease global warming by just reducing the average temperature for the Sahara Desert by one or two degrees than if we humans completely quit using fossil fuels and returned to the cave.

So, how would you start working to resolve this problem? Easy, cool the deserts and get some vegetation growing on them as soon as possible. But the method is much more complex than that. You have to use the prevailing trade winds in relation to the deserts to get the best results as quickly as possible and it will be extremely expensive.

Then we build desalination plants along the coast near these water sheds and pipe water to the tops or ridges of the water sheds

This will do a number of things. First, it will increase the moisture in the desert soil so that it will develop water tables and water will begin to run in the streams. This water will increase the amount of vegetation in the area and decrease the amount of heat being generated by sun light cooling the watered area and all areas down wind of the watered area. As more available water evaporates, it will cool the air and reflect more sun light back out into space cooling the area even more. Cooler and more humid air will have less of a heating effect on areas down wind and will reflect more sun light back into space in those areas cooling areas we won't be watering yet. Cooler and more humid air will also have less of a warming effect on our seas and oceans.

Rain water running off of cooler soil will decrease the heating effect on our oceans and our planet crusts which will decrease catastrophic storm activities for other areas and seismic activity for the entire planet. Also, returning more ocean water to the surface and aquifers of our continents will lower the sea levels providing more usable land for us to farm and build on.

With cooler desert areas and increasing vegetation, less water will evaporate from our deserts increasing the amount of surface water even more and increasing the amount of vegetation and animal life by huge amounts because deserts currently take up more than 20% of our land surface. Populations will be able to spread out and there will be less competition for existing land areas.

This strategy has to be done in steps with the first step being to begin slowing the rate at which our global warming is increasing. We need to focus on that until we have brought it to a point to where the temperature is not increasing any more and is reasonably stable. While we are doing this, we need to come to a global consensus of just how cool we want to cool our planet down to. If we cool it down too much, we will begin to have devastatingly harsh winters in large populated areas and even cause an ice age to set in.

Then we begin cooling the planet down to a point which will be most beneficial for all countries or the planet as a whole. We need to gradually bring the temperature down because there may be a lag effect in which the planet will continue cooling after we stop increasing our efforts to cool it off more. We may even want to stop cooling the planet once or twice before we reach our targeted temperatures to see if there is a lag effect

We need to start working on this as soon as possible because, if the planet reaches a point to where it is warming faster than our technology can possibly stop or reverse this warming trend, then our planet is lost and all life will cease to exist on this planet within a relatively short period of time. We will need to start with the largest and hottest deserts because cooling them will have the greatest benefit in the least time. (Global Warming II by biologist Carl Cantrell).

Isaiah chapter thirty five....

Quote

The land that was desolate and impassable shall be glad, and the wilderness shall rejoice, and shall flourish like the lily. [2] It shall bud forth and blossom, and shall rejoice with joy and praise: the glory of Libanus is given to it: the beauty of Carmel, and Saron, they shall see the glory of the Lord, and the beauty of our God. [3] Strengthen ye the feeble hands, and confirm the weak knees. [4] Say to the fainthearted: Take courage, and fear not: behold your God will bring the revenge of recompense: God himself will come and will save you. [5] Then shall the eyes of the blind be opened, and the ears of the deaf shall be unstopped.

[6] Then shall the lame man leap as a hart, and the tongue of the dumb shall be free: for waters are broken out in the desert, and streams in the wilderness. [7] And that which was dry land, shall become a pool, and the thirsty land springs of water. In the dens where dragons dwell before, shall rise up the verdure of the reed and the bulrush.

The advances that the nation of Israel has already made in mega scale desalination technology is impressive indeed.

The Sorek sea water reverse osmosis desalination plant is able to processes 624,000 cubic meter of seawater every day. This revolutionary new plant supplies Israel with over 20% of the population’s potable water needs.

Hutchison Water, together with local Israeli partner, have successfully completed all aspects of the project from planning, design, engineering, technology, construction and operation. Through the shared entities of Engineering, Purchasing and Construction (EPC), through the operation of the concessionaire (a SPC) which obtained third parties’ financing for the project, and through the Operations and Maintenance entity, the Sorek Project has received world prominence and acclaim.
In 20014 the project was the awarded “Desalination Project of the Year” award by Global Water Intelligence.

Alleviating the severe water shortage in the region, in 2017 and 2018 the Sorek Desalination Project was able to increase its production by approximately 20% and provide 175 million cubic meters of the highest quality desalinated water annually.

I took a Roman Catholic Ministerial studies course back in 2009 and put forward a rather complicated potential practice homily on this general idea as one of my first major papers.

Now...  a relevant detail in all of this is that the

Bill Gates theory on "Innovation to zero" seems to depend entirely on the Carbon Tax theory put forward by Mr. Al Gore in his film "An Inconvenient Truth."

I did get an interesting result to the following poll that I began a few months ago.......

Here is another important benefit for Roman Catholic, Israeli and Islamic cooperation toward the common goal of turning deserts green.......

every cubic meter of ocean water that is desalinated and added to the water table of a nation with lots of desert.....

makes the West Antarctic Ice Sheet a little less dangerous for real estate worldwide that is near sea level.

One thing that’s hard to grasp about the climate crisis is that big changes can happen fast. In 2019, I was aboard the Nathaniel B. Palmer, a 308-foot-long scientific research vessel, cruising in front of the Thwaites Glacier in Antarctica. One day, we were sailing in clear seas in front of the glacier. The next day, we were surrounded by icebergs the size of aircraft carriers.

As we later learned from satellite images, in a matter of 48 hours or so, a mélange of ice about 21 miles wide and 15 miles deep had cracked up and scattered into the sea.

It was a spooky moment. Thwaites Glacier is the size of Florida. It is the cork in the bottle of the entire West Antarctic ice sheet, which contains enough ice to raise sea levels by 10 feet. The mélange that disintegrated was not part of the glacier itself, but a mix of icebergs and sea ice that had cozied up next to it. Still, the idea that it could just fall apart overnight was mind-blowing.

Alex Mazur

As it turns out, the ice breakup I witnessed was not a freak event. A few weeks ago, scientists participating in the International Thwaites Glacier Collaboration, a $25 million five-year-long joint research program between the National Science Foundation in the U.S. and the Natural Environment Research Council in the U.K., presented their latest research. They described the discovery of cracks and fissures in the Thwaites eastern ice shelf, predicting that the ice shelf could fracture like a shattered car window in as little as five years. “It won’t scatter out into sea as quickly as what you saw when you were down there,” Erin Pettit, a glaciologist at Oregon State University and one of the lead principal investigators in the ITGC, later told me. “But the basic process is the same. The ice shelf is breaking up and could be gone in less than a decade.”

Quote

Given the ongoing war for American democracy and the deadly toll of the Covid pandemic, the loss of an ice shelf on a far-away continent populated by penguins might not seem to be big news. But in fact, the West Antarctic ice sheet is one of the most important tipping points in the Earth’s climate system. If Thwaites Glacier collapses, it opens the door for the rest of the West Antarctic ice sheet to slide into the sea. Globally, 250 million people live within three feet of high tide lines. Ten feet of sea level rise would be a world-bending catastrophe. It’s not only goodbye Miami, but goodbye to virtually every low-lying coastal city in the world.

But predicting the breakup of ice sheets and the implications for future sea level rise is fraught with uncertainty. Depending on various emissions scenarios in the latest Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change report, we could have as little as one foot of sea level rise by the end of the century, or nearly six feet of sea level rise (of course, rising seas won’t stop in 2100, but that date has become a common benchmark). “The difference between those [models] is a lot of lives and money,” says Richard Alley, a glaciologist at Penn State University and one of the great ice scientists of our time. Alley adds: “The most likely place to generate [the worst scenario] is Thwaites.”

Quote

Or to put it more urgently: “If there is going to be a climate catastrophe,” Ohio State glaciologist Ian Howat once told me, “it’s probably going to start at Thwaites.”

The problem is, understanding what’s going on at Thwaites is fiendishly complex. As I wrote in 2017:

The trouble with Thwaites, which is one of the largest glaciers on the planet, is that it’s also what scientists call “a threshold system.” That means instead of melting slowly like an ice cube on a summer day, it is more like a house of cards: It’s stable until it is pushed too far, then it collapses.

Thwaites is very different from other big glaciers, such as those in Greenland. For one thing, it is not melting from above, due to warmer air temperatures. It’s melting from below, due to warmer ocean water eating away at its underbelly. More importantly, the terrain beneath the West Antarctic ice sheet is peculiar. “Think of it as a giant soup bowl filled with ice,” Sridhar Anandakrishnan, an expert in polar glaciology at Penn State University, once told me. In the bowl analogy, the edge of the glacier — the spot where a glacier leaves the land and begins to float — is perched on the lip of the bowl 1,000 feet or more below sea level. Scientists call that lip the “grounding line.” Below the lip, the terrain falls away on a downward slope for hundreds of miles, all the way to the Transantarctic Mountains that divide East and West Antarctica. At the deepest part of the basin, the ice is about two miles thick.

PREDICTION.....People with an accent from India and / or Nepal are going to play an instrumental role in bringing the world to the application of "Unified Field Theory of Modern World Problems!"

I say this because if a considerable amount of cracking and sliding of ice were to occur on the West Antarctic Ice Sheet........ twenty to a hundred million climate change refugees could be created in Bangladesh.......... and it is likely that at least ten percent of them will go to India....... which gives the nation of India and everybody with relatives in India an incentive to be willing to promote the Carl Cantrell theory on stabilization of the climate.... and....

the ancient Islamic prediction that in the Last Hour deserts would be turned green at the same time that money becomes so abundant that Muslims who want to give charity..... cannot find anybody willing to accept charity???????

Israel donated amazing solar desalination technology to Norway so that Norwegian scientists and diplomats could share that technology with the Islamic nations who would not accept that technology directly from Israel.  This is termed Tikkun Olam in Judaism.

.. "Tikkun olam (Hebrew: תִּיקּוּן עוֹלָם, lit. 'repair of the world') is a concept in Judaism, interpreted by some within Orthodox
Judaism as the prospect of overcoming all forms of idolatry, and by other Jewish thinkers such as Reform Judaism as an
aspiration to behave and act constructively and beneficially."  (Tikkun Olam, Wikipedia)

... "The wilderness and the solitary place shall be glad for them; and the desert shall rejoice, and blossom as the rose.
It shall blossom abundantly, and rejoice even with joyand singing: the glory of Lebanon shall be given unto it, the
excellency of Carmel and Sharon, they shall see the glory of the LORD, and the excellency of our God.

....
Then shall the lame man leap as an hart, and the tongueof the dumb sing: for in the wilderness shall waters break out,
and streams in the desert.
And the parched ground shall become a pool, and the thirsty land springs of water: in the habitation of dragons, where
each lay, shall be grass with reeds and rushes." (Isaiah 35 : 1, 2, 6, 7 ).

Sahara Fores Project uses Israeli technology that was donated from Israel to Norway.

this alternative theory on stabilization of the climate that fits with Isaiah chapter forty five has implications even for the implementation of a Basic Minimum Income..... but it must be financed like President Abraham Lincoln did... . the method which saved American taxpayers four billion dollars in interest payments.

Abraham Lincoln

During the Civil War (1861-1865), President Lincoln needed money to finance the War from the North. The Bankers were going to charge him 24% to 36% interest. Lincoln was horrified and went away greatly distressed, for he was a man of principle and would not think of plunging his beloved country into a debt that the country would find impossible to pay back.

Eventually President Lincoln was advised to get Congress to pass a law authorizing the printing of full legal tender Treasury notes to pay for the War effort. Lincoln recognized the great benefits of this issue. At one point he wrote:

"... (we) gave the people of this Republic the greatest blessing they have ever had -- their own paper money to pay their own debts..."

Lincoln printed 400 million dollars worth of Greenbacks (the exact amount being $449,338,902), money that he delegated to be created, a debt-free and interest-free money to finance the War. It served as legal tender for all debts, public and private. He printed it, paid it to the soldiers, to the U.S. Civil Service employees, and bought supplies for war.

Shortly after that happened, "The London Times" printed the following: "If that mischievous financial policy, which had its origin in the North American Republic, should become indurated down to a fixture, then that Government will furnish its own money without cost.  That govern-ment must be destroyed, or it will destroy every monarchy on the globe." In retaliation

After this was published in "The London Times", the British Government, which was controlled by the London and other European Bankers, moved to support the Confederate South, hoping to defeat Lincoln and the Union, and destroy this government which they said had to be destroyed.

The Czar of Russia sent a portion of the Russian navy to the United States with orders that its admiral would operate under the command of Abraham Lincoln. These ships of the Russian navy then became a threat to the ships of the British navy which had intended to break the blockade and help the South.

The North won the War, and the Union was preserved. America remained as one nation.

Of course, the Bankers were not going to give in that easy, for they were determined to put an end to Lincoln's interest-free, debt-free Greenbacks. He was assassinated by an agent of the Bankers shortly after the War ended.

Thereafter, Congress revoked the Green-back Law and enacted, in its place, the National Banking Act. The national banks were to be privately owned and the national bank notes they issued were to be interest bearing. The Act also provided that the Greenbacks should be retired from circulation as soon as they came back to the Treasury in payment of taxes.

In 1972, the United States Treasury Department was asked to compute the amount of interest that would have been paid if that 400 million dollars would have been borrowed at interest instead of being issued by Abraham Lincoln. They did some computations, and a few weeks later, the United States Treasury Department said the United States Government saved 4 billion dollars in interest because Lincoln had created his own money.

The Federal Reserve Act

There were changes in the money and banking laws for the next fifty years. Finally, in 1913, the Bankers were able to get their Federal Reserve Act passed through Congress which replaced the National Banking Act that had earlier replaced the Greenback Law. If the Government would have continued the policy of Abraham Lincoln, the warnings given in "The London Times" would have come to pass. America would be a debt-free nation, the most prosperous in the world. And the brains and the wealth of the world would have come to America.

But with this Federal Reserve Act being passed, Congress gave up Its power to create its own money that it was given in the United States Constitution, and gave this power over to private Bankers who called themselves the Federal Reserve. The Bankers had achieved their ultimate goal, for now the United States operated under a central bank that was privately owned. They now had the power to run the country by controlling the creation of the money, and were free to charge the interest they so desired.

As Mayer Anselm Rothschild once said: "Permit me to issue and control the money of a nation, and I care not who makes its laws..."

John F. Kennedy

No United States president since Abraham Lincoln dared to go against the system and create his own money, as many of these so-called elected presidents were actually only instruments or puppets of the Bankers. That is until President John F. Kennedy came into office.

On June 4th, 1963, President Kennedy signed a presidential document, called Exec-utive Order 11110, which further amended Executive Order 10289 of September 19th, 1951. This gave Kennedy, as President of the United States, legal clearance to create his own money to run the country, money that would belong to the people, an Interest and debt-free money. He had printed United States Notes, completely ignoring the Federal Reserve Notes from the private banks of the Federal Reserve.

Our records show that Kennedy issued $4,292,893,825 of cash money. It was obvious that Kennedy was out to under-mine the Federal Reserve System of the United States.

All of this fits with this critical question.....

Your Theology and a Basic Minimum Income?

Your theology and a Basic Minimum Income?

I have believed for many years now that if somebody's religious beliefs is PRO-LIFE then they should also tend to support a Basic Minimum Income for all citizens as was advocated by Economist Milton Friedman.

An UNCONDITIONAL BASIC MINIMUM INCOME would give added life to organizations that are attempting to help the homeless.... drug addicts....... alcoholics...... victims of the sex industry...victims of the gambling industry ... and would become a source of revenue that courts could divert over from fathers to a mom who has custody of the children and is actually caring for the children!

I am Pro - Life and I definitely think that an unconditional Basic Minimum Income to all citizens will positively alter the economy of The United States and Canada and soon other nations will follow suit because our history shows how this idea goes back many decades.

...... But we need to know about how President Abraham Lincoln saved American Taxpayers FOUR BILLION DOLLARS IN INTEREST PAYMENTS IN ORDER TO UNDERSTAND HOW THIS IDEA CAN BE USED TO BREAK CHAINS AND SET CAPTIVES FREE FROM RUNNING ON AN ECONOMIC TREADMILL LIKE GHERBILS!!!!!!

Excellent!!!!!!!!

A lot of people will tell us that it would cost too much to turn a signifiant percentage of the deserts of the world green.......

but those same people have not thought through the implications of a mere one meter rise in ocean levels sending twenty to eighty million climate change refugees from Bangladesh to India, (mostly), but of course many would emigrate to other nations as well... but the bulk of them would go to India!

The same people who would tell us that it would cost to much to turn deserts green, to some degree, are affected by Malthusian Catastrophe Theory.... that is based on an extremely PESSIMISTIC understanding of two brilliant statements on economics that are there in the Jewish Bible!

"And the LORD came down to see the city and the tower, which the children of men builded.
And the LORD said, Behold, the people is one, and they have all one language; and this they begin to do: and now nothing will be restrained from them, which they have imagined to do." (Genesis 11)

Ecclesiastes 10:19
"A feast is made for laughter, and wine maketh merry: but money answereth all things. "

We need to be much more aware of how President Abraham Lincoln saved American taxpayers FOUR BILLION DOLLARS IN INTEREST PAYMENTS... through the brilliant Greenback Monetary Policy Experiment...... and then we will know that Isaiah chapter thirty five can partly be done through modern technology....... plus wiser financing!

Thank you for this exceptional reply to this topic.......

.... one of the major points that I am actually attempting to make is that every cubic meter of sea water that is desalinated and added to the water table of a nation with a lot of desert is great news for every piece of real estate that is vulnerable to rising ocean levels.

The darkening of the ice on the LAND BASED Greenland Ice Sheet indicates that ocean levels will eventually rise.

One theory has it that the ADDITION of H2O to the central region of Antarctica has managed to keep something close to a balance over these past decades in spite of how much melting has happened both in Greenland as well as on most glaciers that are on mountain ranges.

Quote

"At a symposium of the Union of Geodesy and geophysics, Dr. Pyyotor Shoumsky reported that the south polar ice cap was growing at a minimum rate of 293 cubic miles of ice annually. To put that number in perspective, Lake Erie contains only 109 cubic miles of water. Thus, a volume of ice forms on top of the existing ice at Antarctica each year which is almost three times the volume of water in Lake Erie!" (Gershom Gale, Expanded Discussion on HAB Theory).

.....

These statistics are somewhat dated.....

but this topic is politically incorrect because this is not verbatim what Al Gore advised us to do but......

I do believe that this illustrates an important part of the larger picture.

"Let us consider Antarctica for a moment.
We have already seen that it is big. It has a land area of 5.5
million square miles, and is presently covered by something in excess
of seven million cubic miles of ice weighing an estimated 19
quadrillion tons (19 followed by 15 zeros). What worries the
theorists of earth-crust displacement is that this vast ice-cap is
remorselessly increasing in size and weight:'at the rate of 293 cubic
miles of ice each year
--almost as much as if Lake Ontario were frozen
solidly annually and added to it.(Graham Hancock, Fingerprints of
the Gods, page 480).

Actually... Dr. James Hansen stated, if I remember correctly, that the last time that global atmospheric temperatures increased by about three degrees.... ocean levels rose by more than twenty meters in about four centuries!!!!  We are not yet prepared for that happening.... and deliberately turning deserts green is our only option.... a carbon tax will not stop a massive increase in ocean levels but......... greening large portions of the deserts will significantly decrease the amount of excess heat going into the atmosphere.
