I find it a little odd that a fully mature adult male can transition to a female and compete in women only sport events.

The case of the trans competing for Penn State is particular odd because she is attracted to females, and has identified herself as a lesbian.

For years, liberals, Democrats, and leftists have routinely claimed that a patriarchy in the United States exists and makes women second-class citizens. Female athletes have echoed these claims, bemoaning significant inequalities between men’s and women’s athletics. Consider the numerous reports that highlight disparities between men’s and women’s sports, especially at the collegiate level. Now, with athletes who have the genetics of a man being permitted to take away athletic opportunities from women, females have been relegated to an even lower position.

“Women are now third-class citizens,” the swimmer told me. She also specifically detailed how Thomas’s male genetics provide a distinct advantage. Where William didn’t perform as well at some events in the men’s sport, Thomas has thrived as a woman.

“Lia was not even close to being competitive as a man in the 50 and the 100 (freestyle events),” the anonymous swimmer said. “But just because Lia is biologically a man, [Lia] is just naturally better than many females in the 50 and the 100 or anything that [Lia] wasn’t good at as a man.”

evaporation ponds and hard rock mining for lithium is old school

there is a promising new way of mining lithium that uses nano filtration (in place of evaporation ponds),... full disclosure actually purchased a few pre-ipo shares myself

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) signed into law a measure, the Parental Rights in Education bill, that critics have somehow mis-labeled it,  the “Don’t Say Gay” law.

Here are three big things the law does, considered controversial for no apparent reason?

1. It bans instruction or classroom discussion about LGBTQ issues for kindergarten through third grade.

2. It empowers parents to sue the school district over teachings they don’t like.

3. It requires schools to tell parents when their child receives mental health services.

I'm Sorry but, prepubescent children younger that 7 years old, (the age of reason) do not need to be sexualized or learn about Transgenderism in a classroom setting by a stranger!

the whole idea is ludicrous.

They're arguing that it's not happening, and therefore not needed.  Which is an incredibly stupid argument.

Clearly, millions of Americans believe it's happening.  For that reason alone there should be a law against it.  But there's also proof that it's happening.  Even CNN ran stories about the teachers who quit over this because they felt it was their right to talk about sexuality with very young children.

Insanity.  Pure insanity.

The left is run by satan.  It's undeniable.

This so-called ‘don’t say gay bill” allows parents to sue in court if they believe a school violates the new law, or request the Commissioner of Education to appoint a “special magistrate” to get to the bottom of a complaint. (School districts would pay for the magistrate.)

https://www.tampabay.com/news/florida-politics/2022/03/28/the-dont-say-gay-bill-desantis-just-signed-explained/

HB 1557 takes three key steps to protect students and put power back in the hands of parents:

This bill prohibits classroom instruction about sexual orientation or gender identity in K-3 classrooms, and after 3rd grade, these conversations need to be age-appropriate.

The bill ensures that at the beginning of every school year, parents will be notified about healthcare services offered at the school, with the right to decline any service offered.

The bill ensures that whenever a questionnaire or health screening is given to K-3 students, parents receive it first and provide permission for the school to administer the questionnaire or health screening to their child

The Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE) is instructing kindergarten classrooms to teach about gender identity, and says that teachers in the state are not required to inform parents about their child’s desire to change genders.

It is no longer morally permissible for a parent to enroll his/her children in public schools without grave cause.

Even many charter and private schools are starting to follow suit.

Woe to this generation and the chastisements we are bringing upon ourselves.
