This is not the first time this question has arisen. The courts have always sided with the hospitals - Catholic or any other faith-based. The Supreme Court is more likely, now, to read the Constitution and the "separation of Church and State" clause in the same way faith-based hospitals do. 

And note that, in the mainstream media, "religious" means CATHOLIC! In point of actual fact, many other denominations sponsor hospitals and hospital systems. Some of those denominations agree with various Catholic teachings. But the Washington Post can see only CATHOLICS as standing in the way of their liberal Utopia. 

Caveat: As with anything that involves the Supreme Court, it will take a fair amount of time for cases to start at the lowest levels and work their way up.
