Since the forum will be closing soon, I thought we could start a last-minute thread of "hidden gem" communities--i.e., great communities that somehow don't get a lot of attention.

To start off, one communities I've come to know well is the Hermits of St. Mary of Carmel, a diocesan right religious community of women who live as hermits with some community support with a Carmelite spirituality:  https://www.hsmcmn.com/

Cistercians or Trappists don't seem to get nearly as much attention as some orders like the Carmelites or franciscan orders.  I think in the past they had a name for being extremely strict and austere. Glencairn Abbey in Ireland has a great website which is well worth looking at. They seem to have the right balance between modern and traditional.  Its very interesting even for those who aren't discerning religious  life.
