this is only for Chris to explain his faith and have no debating until he is totally finished explaining his faith!!! i just want to learn abuot his faith, not get into a debate. we can debate later... but not now.

C'mon Chris! bring it on and enlighten us!!!

Once again, I'd prefer NOT to be attacked on all sides for my beliefs (this is Catholic "phorum", by the way). And I'm relatively new to Wicca (a few months), so I wouldn't exactly be your best source of information. Also, there's load of differences in the beliefs of different Wiccans, just like Christians. Asking me to explain Wicca would possibly be something like asking a Protestant to explain Catholicism.

I don't want respect from you, it's just that I've learned that you'll never convert someone or change their way of thinking on a message board or in a chat room when it comes to politics, philosophy or religion. I see no reason to respond to various posts just because I left something out of my description. If you honestly want to learn, look it up. Then when you're comfortable engaging in a debate about Wicca, bring it up.

YEARS AGO. I've been various religions over the course of my life...atheism was at that time. Or perhaps I was just saying that to annoy people in that thread. Who knows?

We have other Wiccan members here. The most memorable and loveable is Raven, she doesn't post as frequently anymore but is always welcome when she drops in. We are perfectly comfortable discussing your beliefs, the question is are you? Your dodging of the issue seems to indicate not.

Which was why I put a question mark after "said you were an atheist", indicating I wanted to know if you still were or not.

Unsure, I'm taking Wicca quite seriously although I'm not sure which set of beliefs is right for me. I'm currently leaning towards the God and Goddess as being symbolic, though.

There are members here who have both converted [b]and[/b] changed their political views because of a message board.

Like it has been stated, there are other Wiccan members that post here. Furthermore, there are ex-Wiccans who post here that could probably enlighten you on the subject.

May I ask where [b]you[/b] learn about Wicca?

I've learned otherwise. Some people are closed minded, but there are those who are in search of truth, can listen to all sides, and make an educated choice.

If you honestly want to learn what the Catholic Church teaches, then look it up.

Then when you know something about the Catholic Church you can debate on an educated level, and then you should bring it up.

Funny... I just posted something in reference to the above about some of your statements.

Are you looking for a place to make you feel better by attacking others? If so, this is not the place.

I believe in one God,
the Father, the Almighty,

God from God, Light from Light,
true God from true God,
begotten, not made,
of one Being with the Father.
Through him all things were made.
For us and for our salvation
he came down from heaven:
by the power of the Holy Spirit
he became incarnate from the Virgin Mary,
and was made man.
For our sake he was crucified under Pontius Pilate;
he suffered death and was buried.
On the third day he rose again
in accordance with the Scriptures;
he ascended into heaven
and is seated at the right hand of the Father.
He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead,
and his kingdom will have no end.

I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life,
who proceeds from the Father and the Son.

This is the jist of what I believe. Now, its your turn... what do you believe? I don't want to "look it up" I want to know what you personally believe. Talk about the "majick" stuff you told me in your PM. I want to hear more of that stuff!!!
