Noel's angel Posted August 5, 2004 Posted August 5, 2004 That is ur opinion, so u should say "in my opinion, they all smell of elderberries" or something to that effect. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, so if you think they smell of elderberries, thats ok but there are a lot of people out there who say they dont smell of elderberries. So in my opinion, theyre great, but uve got ur own opinion and i respect that, afterall, if we all had the same opinion, life would be really dull!
Azriel Posted August 5, 2004 Posted August 5, 2004 ahhhh you young 'uns ... Bring on the Beatles ... and while you're at it through in some 80s stuff as well. Expand your horizons. Treasure the old, dig the new.
gopherball33 Posted August 6, 2004 Posted August 6, 2004 what, and simon and garfunkel have no classics? u ever heard of the song mrs. robinson? one of the great songs of all time. listenin to it now. u cant say u like the classics and not like simon and garfunkel or the bee gees.
Noel's angel Posted August 6, 2004 Posted August 6, 2004 Well, u could, but ud be wrong (in my opinion). U cannot say that Mrs Robinson, The Sound of Silence, Bridge Over Troubled Waters etc. etc. are Not classics, of course they are
MorphRC Posted August 6, 2004 Posted August 6, 2004 The Classics to me are older than 50-60 Years Old. So that would exclude anything in the 50's-80's
Noel's angel Posted August 6, 2004 Posted August 6, 2004 (edited) Ok then, i think thats a bit odd, but each to their own i suppose. I think its good to recognise the talent of artists, even if u dont like their music, u have to admit, Paul Simon is a great songwriter. Does anyone like Buddy Holly? Edited August 6, 2004 by Noel's angel
MorphRC Posted August 6, 2004 Posted August 6, 2004 Yeah of course there are good artists that I dont like personally. I dont have a big care for the beatles of the beach boys, but there are a few catchy rythmes in their albums.
Noel's angel Posted August 6, 2004 Posted August 6, 2004 Wow, im glad. I thought u were going to be one of those stubborn people who have their own little box of music that they like and wont give other artists any credit, but im glad ur not one of those people. What sort of music do u like?
MorphRC Posted August 6, 2004 Posted August 6, 2004 All Kinds. Classical Hip Hop Rock Punk R & B Soundtracks There the main ones.
gopherball33 Posted August 8, 2004 Posted August 8, 2004 BUDDY HOLLY WAS AWESOME. Peggy Sue is his best song I think. Don McLean's American Pie was a great tribute to Buddy.
Noel's angel Posted August 8, 2004 Posted August 8, 2004 I loved Buddy Holly, i listen to his music all the time, u should listen to some of it, his songs are really catchy. "Its so easy to fall in love, la la la" Im not the best singer.......
Tony Posted August 8, 2004 Posted August 8, 2004 (edited)
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!! If someone starts producing good music Ill listen to it, but ill stick with the old classics now, cause i dont want to listen to rubbish
T here is still some quality good music being produced.. but it gets very little radio air play these days... It is mostly ran by a few big corporate $$ companies who insist on making all of their stations sound alike, with very little selection. One hour or music isnt much different from the next. I have found some decent things to listen on 97X at www.woxy.com They used to be a regular radio station but they sold that, then some investers came and got it going again as a webcast only station Edited August 8, 2004 by Tony
