Dusty Fro Posted August 3, 2004 Posted August 3, 2004 What's wrong with the Everything Catholic Book? (haven't read it)
EcceNovaFacioOmni Posted August 3, 2004 Posted August 3, 2004 "Catholicism for Dummies" is the best (even has ecclesiastical approval). It was written by two priests from EWTN. "The Complete Idiots Guide to Catholicism" is liberal (from what I've heard). "The Everything Catholicism Book" is overtly liberal. While not openly stating anything; it alludes that there could be a democratic Church, the Pope isn't infallible, waters down the Real Presence, women could someday become priests while somewhat trying to debunk an awful arguement for an all male priesthood. You get a "spirit of Vatican II" feeling when you read it.
MorphRC Posted August 4, 2004 Posted August 4, 2004 The only orthodox book I got was 'The Sword of the Prophet' by Serge Trifknovic. It was gudddd
