I did. People who ignore the effect of music on people can really be ignoring the devil in one of his devices. The style of music may be cool, but if the lyrics are playing with your sub-concious and can make you do/say/think things you probably shouldn't, then you should trash it. If it bothers you, just put it away, if it still bothers you, break them, theres no going back, expect maybe downloading them, but then I try to avoid downloading stuff. Kitty isn't satanic, possibly, but I have my doubts >.<. Crade is, definatly, and the music i well... .

my cousin listened to satanic music and it pulls you in...in fact he said satanic music is [i]the[/i] driving force behind it all......

i know on a personaly scary level that music like that is dangerous and should be avoided cuz its [i]real[/i] and will spiritual harm you.....

Food for thought: Through our baptism we are called to reject the glamour of evil. No matter how cool it sounds, there's nothing in that music that will make you a better person.

Also, there are some Christian heavy metal groups that don't sound exactly like Manson but they offer a nice alternative.... some that come to mind are Under Oath, Skillit, and Kutless, in descending order of heaviness.

when my bro was living at home he used to listen to mm and my mom would always hide his cd lol. Because mm really isn't good I think he's pretty evil and everything he stands for, he is the exact opposite of christian, he sings about everything that is evil the guy is satanic. Im glad your not listening to the lyrics, but honestly you are still hearing and bringing on the evil that is in the music. Its like you are inviting evil in without even knowing it. Honestly that is how He works, he sneeks up on you you have to be so careful. try to surround yourself with things of a religious, positive nature And if you like music itself, the guitar drums etc there are a lot of great christian bands with a more positive message I know your smart you have a great head on your shoulders you Love God, you want to do everything good to be closer to him! When you think of it, listening to this music is doing the exact opposite, its not bringing you closer to God, it's bringing upon evil which will ultimately bring you further and further from God and all happiness. As Christians we want to please God and do everything we can to bring us closer to Him, and to recieve all of his Blessings so just looking out for ya!

It may be good to use an anology, would you go to a strip club just to drink? While those could be your only intentions, your mind knows whats going on. We have more then our regular level of thinking, it goes beyond that. We take in alot more than we know we do. Thats why songs get stuck in our head even if we made no effort to remember them. You may deny listening to the words, but you are hearing the words, and it doesn't take much for you to listen to the words unkowingly. Ex. I listen to the PM CD, I didn't really listen for the words, I put it in while playing a game, thats all I used it for. I put it on in my mom's car, an dI knew all the words to School of the Eucharist in the chorus. I wasn't listening to the words, but they are still there.
