White Knight Posted August 6, 2004 Posted August 6, 2004 It looks interesting, considering its story is about discovering the spot where The Devil Fell to Earth after the War in Heaven. Well, I may see it, just not in the theaters, I'll wait until it comes out on DVD or on Television, I dont wanna support my money for something that is probally going to be Anti Christian. lol
White Knight Posted August 8, 2004 Posted August 8, 2004 I couldn't find the site, but if you have a fast connection you can watch the Trailer. The Exorcist: The Beginning Just in case you wanna look at it.
DancesforLove Posted August 8, 2004 Posted August 8, 2004 I wanted to see it till I found out what the girl does with the cross in the first one :shudders: ew ew lol
Crusader_4 Posted August 8, 2004 Posted August 8, 2004 I know the first Exorcist from what i could dig up was was given high acclaim by the bishops as a realistic view of exorcism...(since it is based upon a true story).
White Knight Posted August 8, 2004 Posted August 8, 2004 The First is a Classic example I think, what true Demon poccession is like. since it was based off a true story, from what Ive read, heard, in the adnormal cases in life.
M.SIGGA Posted August 9, 2004 Posted August 9, 2004 The walking Jesus statue in the hospital in the 3rd movie still freaks me out. I don't think I'm going to see the newest one.
White Knight Posted August 9, 2004 Posted August 9, 2004 Ya the Sequals have been really terrible, hopefully this one will deliever. I have my hopes high for this one.
Carrie Posted August 11, 2004 Posted August 11, 2004 From the commercials, I don't really have much interest in seeing it.
Aloysius Posted August 21, 2004 Posted August 21, 2004 it looks like the priest consults a tarot card lady in it...
Crusader_4 Posted August 22, 2004 Posted August 22, 2004 I was just at the Americans Catholic Bishops site and they did not have a review up for "The Exorcist" yet.
ironman Posted August 23, 2004 Posted August 23, 2004 It'll probably be Hollywood carp...the first Exorcist was made based on a true story.....the kid got into some crazy demonic stuff, they were Lutheran. Lutherans didn't really have any solutions to attack this problem, so they called on a Priest that could do exorcisms. Anyhow, the whole family ended converting to Catholicism, that's the real deal. I believe the name of the documentary is called "In the Presence of Evil" I haven't researched this whole thing much. All of the information I'm telling you, was told to me, by my friend. She's a very good source, maybe I got some of the names wrong on what the documentary is called, but that's the just of the story.
Paladin D Posted August 23, 2004 Posted August 23, 2004 Question: Didn't the Catholic priest successfully perform an exorcism? Because I heard that the devil tricked him into thinking he did, and reappears in the 2nd because of it. Not sure how true this is, that's why I'm asking.
