She carried the New Covenant in her womb for nine months. She is Gate of Heaven because, by her consent to give birth to the Son of God, she helped open heaven up to all of us. Her are some of our current Church names: Mary on the Beautiful River, Ave Maria, Madonna del Castello, Madonna of Jerusalem, Mary of the Mercy. Mother of Hope, Mother of the Church, Mater Doloresa, Our Lady of the Angels, Our Lady of Consolation, Our LAdy of grace, Our Lady of Joy, Our Lady of Loreto.
