Catholic Bible

What Catholic Bible would you recommend?

Also, are there any Catholic Bible commentaries that are easy to get and are orthodox/informative/good?

I recommend the RSV (Revised Standard Version) Catholic Edition (published by Ignatius Press) or the New American Bible, St. Joseph's Edition.

I love the RSV but make sure it's not a NRSV (New Revised Standard Verstion).

Some people like the Jerusalem Bible, and that's the one Mother Angelica quotes from on her show.

Also, if you can find one . . . the best bible, in my opinion is the Knox Bible. It's great!
