azaelia Posted September 11, 2004 Posted September 11, 2004 I went through this stage when all I listened to was bagpipe music and such. I found all the songs I would listen to...and I feel it coming back  LET'S DANCE A JIG!!
theculturewarrior Posted September 11, 2004 Posted September 11, 2004 People phrom Maine are just COOL!!!
theculturewarrior Posted September 11, 2004 Posted September 11, 2004 The art teacher at my high school wore his wife's cheerleading letter jacket to school all the time. Ah, blessed eccentricity...it makes life palatable.

Deeds Posted September 11, 2004 Posted September 11, 2004 They're a little annoying at times, especially when you live next door to a hotel that does a lot of weddings and you're trying to study but all you can hear is "WAIL... SCREECH... HOWL."
mattosika Posted September 11, 2004 Posted September 11, 2004 First God created Texas, then Canada, then Bagpipes , Bagpipes are the bomb I actually forked over the cash to buy a set and take lessons, my uncle plays the bagpipes for a living for weddings, funerals and such
cmotherofpirl Posted September 12, 2004 Posted September 12, 2004 You can major in bagpipes at Carnegie Mellon University.
stef22 Posted September 12, 2004 Posted September 12, 2004 bagpipes are the coolest thing ever, does anyone know the history of it though... im thinking its a pretty complex instrument to think about. bagpipes get two thumbs up from me.
cmotherofpirl Posted September 12, 2004 Posted September 12, 2004 The Irish gave the bagpipes to the Scots, but they haven't caught on to the joke yet.
theculturewarrior Posted September 12, 2004 Posted September 12, 2004 I heard somewhere that bagpipes were used to frighten enemy armies...sort of an early psychological warfare tactic.
homeschoolmom Posted September 12, 2004 Posted September 12, 2004 RussianGirl's boyfriend tried to teach himself to play 'em. But he's kinda like that... (he was homeschooled... )
franciscanheart Posted September 12, 2004 Posted September 12, 2004 i like them lots.... i want one at my funeral.... or a few lol

I would rather future leaders of this country be spared the faith stealing humiliation and scars of the public school system...even if they play the bagpipes! No, really, homeschooling is the bomb...if only I could find a woman who agreed...I'd raise up twelve little apostles!
theculturewarrior Posted September 12, 2004 Posted September 12, 2004 And Mary, Martha and Magdalena too,
homeschoolmom Posted September 12, 2004 Posted September 12, 2004 hehehe... I think hs-ing is the bomb, too. But some days I have to remind myself why I think that...
