Microsoft Adds New Hotmail Fee

[b]Ironmonk[/b], I'm not a Microsoft hater (I know you didn't say it, though I just wanted to make sure). My views on Microsoft are a mix. On one hand Microsoft has done a lot of good, while on the other they can get annoying and seems as if they are trying to become a monopoly.

Microsoft has it's positives and it's negatives. I haven't really track, or read a reliable source of Microsoft's history to really make an accurate judgement anyway.

I know I will still be able to access my hotmail accounts via the web, however it's much easier for me to check 3 hotmail accounts at one time (using Outlook Express). I can live with the change, but it'll make things a little harder on me.

You've have impressed me again. Your understanding and wisdom are developing very well and your maturity and objectivness in the matters of fact and truth are more mature and logical then many others that are twice your age.

Microsoft is so huge that people in the middle could get away with all kinds of immoral actions. But of course, none of that is the point... my whole point was that Microsoft doesn't smell of elderberries... to smell of elderberries would mean that their products smell of elderberries.

I'm sure you understand that the media and all who hate to see others do well, will of course attack MS with lies and distortions. It's possible that some of it is true, but without hearing the other side, basing a judgement on the entire company is simply foolish.

I think the Hotmail service as a whole, minus Passport, has been degraded ever since Microsoft took control. I liked the pre-Microsoft Hotmail much better. Anyone remember it? Now I have a non-Hotmail account.

I suppose we're just talking about different things then, and I'll admit some of their products are really quite good.

On the other hand I won't admit that Linux is bad, because I use it everyday and find it quite useable and stable. It sounds like you haven't tried Linux in a while (Fedora has been the Red Hat release for some years), I recommend trying a current one before you judge it.

If XP is running slow then you have spyware or some program bogging it down - i.e. kazaa, real player, music matchbox, gator, etc....
Every icon near the clock in your taskbar is running in the background, and then some.



Check your resources in task manager and see what is hogging your cpu & ram.

To run decent xp needs at least 256 ram... if you have a lot open at once, then at least 512 ram.... it depends on what your running.

Yep, also note...

XP takes up around 100 RAM. So if you got 256mb of RAM, then you only have 156 available.
