It's interesting that Rhode Island's population is [b]50%+[/b] Catholic, most than any other state in the country, yet it's the most liberal state in the US (from what you said).

Northeast = High Catholic population, but dominately liberal.

South = Low Catholic population, but dominately conservative.


Either way, we lose.
