More Discernment Help From My Pham Requested

Okay, I have chosen to go with the option for my essay to Steubie of saying how Steubie would help me in my career, have an impact on my career field, and how I would use my faith in my career field. I have a few ideas of what I want to do, but I want to know what you think (maybe you can think of things I haven't) and why before I list what I really want to do.

I should add that I'm going in for a Classics and Theology: Religious Education undergrad with a minor in Latin and I will be going for a Theology grad degree as well.

I do not have to use Classics, but since I've devoted so much of my time to it, I wanted the degree, but my main focus in whatever my career will be will have something to do with theology/education/ministry/evangelization.

Also, a strengths/weaknesses chart might be helpful for me to find what I should do, but it's kind of hard for a person to do that on himself...if you would do this for me, please be honest, and know that I have never taken any statements on my weaknesses personally (since my reversion, anyway).

Thanks pham!

God bless!

Strength: Knows his faith inside and out.
Strength: Loves his religion and loves teaching ppl bout it.

Um an obvious weakness, which may really be a strength, is that you have no clear Idea what you want to do...

...except give Christ to the World.

Seriously though, in your essay you could mention the pressures from your mother, and the tension that exsists between doing God's will and hers...

Are you going for on campus or off campus housing? You're chances of acceptance increases by about 10 times if you are off-campus

Well, I have something to consider, then...

Here are the problems:

1. Is it more or less expensive to live off-campus? I have virtually no money...

2. I don't drive...yet...

Um, for me it is cheaper to be off campus but I drive. I would say if compare the costs.
Sit down and write down how much living on campus would be and multiply that by the number that you will be at that school or just for the one year. Now in a column next to the tutition and room/board fee, write down the costs of living at home. If you have a car that you can drive then you should take into account money for gas. If you don't have a car then I would say add up the fees of public transportation or taxi or whatever you'd use.

Right now I would say live on campus. It will be easier if you don't drive because then you can just walk everywhere and then hitch a ride to off campus activities.

Okay...so I realized something...I won't be old enough to live off-campus. Guess I'll apply for on-campus and leave the rest to God. :)
