Mrs. Bro. Adam Posted November 1, 2004 Posted November 1, 2004 Dear clergy, In the NFP forum we have had some disagreements about the use of objects (such as vibrators) that penatrate the vagina during sex. Is this immoral? Any citations would be helpful. Thanks, Bro. Adam
Pio Nono Posted December 27, 2004 Posted December 27, 2004 JMJ 12/27 - St. John the Beloved Mrs. Bro. Adam, Depends on the end/destination of the action - is it for pleasure alone? Or does it lead to greater love of your spouse? If it's strictly for pleasure, then it's a utilitarian use of your own body - as I see it, this doesn't fit in with God's plan for our sexuality. However, if it leads to greater love of your spouse, then it does not seem, prima facie, that the body is being treated in a utilitarian fashion (all sexual activity, to fit within God's plan, must end in sexual intercourse). It seems fine in this instance. Take this answer for what it's worth. Hope this helps. Yours, Pio Nono
