yomichael Posted November 3, 2004 Posted November 3, 2004 I was in a class here at school and one of the guys had a shirt on that said "F*** Bush Go Kerry" big letters. He was sitting across from me and the class was almost 90% Bush haters. I had on my Bush shirt that said Viva Bush and Protect Life. Then worst of all the teacher sounded to the Kerry side. Got sick of the needless Cussing out of Bush and left class just picked up bag and left. It was a computer class not anthing that has to do with the arguement on table I feel teach should have told the guy to put on his jacket. Sure if he wants to be dumb and wear a Kerry shirt fine I could care less but one that says F*** Bush I feel this is wrong. I am sick of this liberal school.
Mrs. Bro. Adam Posted November 3, 2004 Posted November 3, 2004 I've had a class who was showing a movie with nudity....Not very nice.
Thy Geekdom Come Posted November 3, 2004 Posted November 3, 2004 My teacher said that he was Republican for 20 years, but then grew up. I would have walked out, but I had a quiz to take... It's okay...I could've quipped back to him all day...this just gives me so many opportunities.
phatcatholic Posted November 3, 2004 Posted November 3, 2004 (edited) HYPERDULIA'S BACK!!!! WHY DIDN'T ANYONE TELL ME!!!! welcome back!! we missed you!! (i really need to hang out in open mic more......) Edited November 3, 2004 by phatcatholic
StColette Posted November 3, 2004 Posted November 3, 2004 I would not have left lol I'm a really outspoken person when it comes to what I believe so I probably would have stayed and remained calm and debated with them filled with charity
Ash Wednesday Posted November 3, 2004 Posted November 3, 2004 I teach a college class. I didn't mention the election at all. Actually my university is moderate -- has both conservative and liberal students -- so I think there were probably Bush and Kerry kids in my class. I didn't have the energy to go there though. The left needs to quit crying and just buck up. There is nothing they can do now, Bush is here to stay. We need to work together and not be so counterproductive like we have been since 2000.
toledo_jesus Posted November 3, 2004 Posted November 3, 2004
My teacher said that he was Republican for 20 years, but then grew up.
the way I learned was if you weren't a liberal by the time you were 20 you have no heart. If you aren't a conservative by the time you're 40 you have no brain.
yomichael Posted November 3, 2004 Author Posted November 3, 2004 I took my quiz then walked out LOL. I droped a Theater class cause they went to a play that had masterbation on stage. Not my cup of tea. I never knew they did that in plays till I took that class.
It wasn't "The Vagina Monologues" was it? That play has been causing grave scandal all over the place...
Balthazor Posted November 3, 2004 Posted November 3, 2004 My class was wonderful. There was no Kerry bashing and no Bush bashing. We had a civilized discussion in my class about the election, everyone was very nice. We made some speculations as to who won what, where and why. We made some predictions on the future of the nation and the futures of the party, and then we went on to the subject at hand. It was very nice. I was happy that though everyone in my class had a favorite party and a favorite candidate that we all put it behind us to look to the future and try and objectively analyze the campaign. I love all the poli-sci majors in my school and the professors.......
oh, we had a scene in a play with the actors naked on stage simulating sex... And we also had Lysistrata which was done with the actors wearing suits simulating nudity so as to be a more thorough study of the Greek form of drama. We're talking anatomically correct body suits, and...well if you're familiar with the plot of the play the men had a problem that made their tunics somewhat...tented. It was bad. I don't think I would sit through it today. Why do college productions have to push the envelope?
Balthazor Posted November 3, 2004 Posted November 3, 2004 The play may be obscene but the premise that it is based on is hilarious.
