Lil Red
here's the thing. i'm 26, youth minister, married, never been to college. i would love to go to college and major in religious studies with an emphasis in youth ministry. i don't know how i would do it, and still be able to eat, but there ya go. so, i'd like phatmass' opinions on the colleges/dioceses that have these sort of programs; like how orthodox the college/diocese is. Thy Geekdom Come
I can speak to Creighton. Omaha is a great city, and an excellent place for families. The diocese is largely orthodox, but the university is run by some pretty liberal Jesuits, and in fact got in some trouble recently for having an openly homosexual man speak at Mass about gay rights and gay pride. There is a mandatum there. The taxes are very high here, though. The Omaha area is nice and the bishop is very supportive of youth and vocations. There are some very rich things in the city for you, including the world's third largest zoo, the home of the College World Series, and Boys Town.
