I would agree with that presumption.

I fear that if they ever overcame their natural disadvantage (no opposable thumbs) that they would quickly use their natural advantage (flight) to their advantage in worldwide species conflict over stewardship of the earth.

They also don't like our singing.

Did you know that they trained the birds in that movie to "attack" by putting food on the actors' heads just after film stopped rolling? They would cut, put the food on thier heads and let the birds land and eat. The birds are chasing them waiting to hear, "cut" so that they could eat...
