Apotheoun Posted November 15, 2004 Posted November 15, 2004
has there ever been a reunification between some (former) protestant church and the catholic church?
I know of no Protestant ecclesial community that has, as a whole, reunited with the Catholic Church, but there are some Episcopal (i.e. Anglican) parishes that have come back into communion with the Catholic Church. You can read about them by going to the following website: Pastoral Provision
and, while im on the topic.... [h]as a protestant church ever split off from an Orthodox church? from what i can remember all (Lutheren etc) have come from us, or off eachother. thankyou tom
The Protestant Reformation occurred within Western culture alone, and so none of the ecclesial communities that descend from the Reformation schism have their origin in the Eastern Orthodox Churches.
