Hey D.Boy I am willing to die, whether that be a death of popularity with society and those around me or holy martyrdom. Kinda personal but are you consecrated to Mary??? You don't have to answer just wondering.

No question is stupid, but what are you asking about, the death stuff or consecration to Mary?

If it is consecration to Mary I mean have you consecrated yourself to Our Lady with the help of a priest and a devotional book like "Preparation for Total Consecration according to Saint Louis Marie de Montfort" by Montfort Publications, or throught the Militia Immaculata started by St. Maximillian Kolbe. If you want to check out the M.I. go to www.consecration.com There are many different consecration prayers and devotions to Our Lady. I was wondering because it is something all Christians should go through so that we may travel the easiest and surest route to Our Lord through the most holy of all God's creatures - Mary Immaculate.

War, uhhhh, what it isn't good for absolutely nothing.

There are times when I fall to my knees in front of the tabernacle as a soldier home from war.

And there are times when I go on retreats, pilgrimages, listen to EWTN, etc. Das when I sit back, relax, and sharpen my sword.

I am consecrated via the Brown Scapular to Our Lady of Mt. Carmel (I was born on her feast day! YAY!). Daily Rosary, baby. Sometimes I just start & my guardian angel finishes.

About having a priest help with consecration. You can have them give you spiritual direction throughout your preparation for consecration to Our Mother and suggest prayers you should do along with this preparation. They are really just who you should go to when you need help understanding some of the prep material for consecration. From my experience the book by St. Louis de Montfort "The Secret of Mary" is great for understanding a deeper devotion to Mary and the rewards it bears. If you want I can mail you a copy of the book. I have a mini version that you can have. Just give me your address, if you feel comfortable, and I will mail it ASAP. When you finish your prep for consecration and have your date picked for consecration - usually a Marian feast day - Ask the priest if he can go through it with you. It helps to have a priest as a friend you can turn to and ask for prayers. Most importantly you need a priest to help you battle Satan. The first thing Satan will try to take away is your devotion to Mary. Don't be confused or discouraged, once you make it past that there is no turning back. You will be attacked at times thereafter, thinking that devotion to Mary is a diversion but just keep moving, and rebuke him the instant the idea comes to your mind. "Behold your Mother." Anyway you will hear most of this in the book so I won't spoil it for you. Like No Limit Soldier you should wear the Brown Scapular also. A priest can give you the Scapular Blessing, unless you have it already, and you are fit for life. There are some great stories about the Brown Scapular that will blow your mind.

That is great!! I will send you two other books also. One is called "True Devotion to Mary" and the other is the preparation for consecration one. The books are somewhat difficult in wording, it is kinda like reading an apostolic letter of one the popes if you know what I mean. You just have to read through certain sections numerous times to get the message. It is well worth it. If I am reading correctly you said you will PM me your address??

With Our Lady's help, we can just laugh at him at times. She makes the cross sweet because through her we realize the ease of Christ's yoke.
