rachael Posted November 29, 2004 Posted November 29, 2004 As many of you know, I am an epileptic. I've complained about it several times on open mic. I have the worse kind of seizures a person can get, but luckly I don't have that often. Anyways, I just had another seizure this morning at my friend's house. This is the second one I have had at her house. When I had this one, I was sitting on her couch and I fell over and hit my head on her coffee table. Anyways, this one resulted in a bloody lip, a swollen and bloddly tounge, a huge bump on my head, and broken blood vessel in my eye. I wasted my Sunday by sleeping all day and wasn't able to go to church. This frustrates me because for a few weeks my brain is in a heavy fog and I can't concentrate in school and it takes me forever to understand anything new we've learned. This is why my grades smell of elderberries. Also, everytime I have one, I have to wait 6 months before I can drive again becasue it is the law in Georgia. This is why I am almost 18 and I still don't have my liscense. I hate being epileptic!!!
Thy Geekdom Come Posted November 29, 2004 Posted November 29, 2004 I didn't know you were epileptic. Prayers! Bear the cross well. I know you can.

rachael Posted November 29, 2004 Author Posted November 29, 2004 the liscense thing is not really what i am frustrated about at the moment
Thy Geekdom Come Posted November 29, 2004 Posted November 29, 2004
the liscense thing is not really what i am frustrated about at the moment
Understandable. But think of this: God won't allow any evil unless He can bring greater good out of it. I know it's hard to concentrate on this, but try to think of all the graces coming through you because of this.
Phazzan Posted November 29, 2004 Posted November 29, 2004 For what it's worth, my old man had epilepsy as a kid but hasn't had a seizure for about 40 years.
yea, i know. but i have had it for two years and so far the only good i have gotten out of it is easier acceptance to colleges.
And a sense of humor about it, apparently! Sometimes the graces aren't given to us immediately...sometimes they aren't even given to us, but are given to someone who needs them more.
