Like Garlic for Vampires...

Some Jehova's Witnesses apparently came to our house on Sunday morning...

Afterwards I proceeded to tell my mom, whpo answered the door, that if you want them to completly avoid your house, just put a statue of Mary on the front porch. SHe kinda gave me a funny look and seemed to ignore me, but I thought I'd share this pointless story with you all. And if you can find a point to it, I'll give you an e-cookie. :)

Does it really work?

They visited me once.
I rebuttaled all their arguements.
They were upset when I said they technically arent even Christians since they deny the diety of Christ.
They warned they'd be back.

I would think that makes them more determined......you know what you should have on you front door is a sign that says
"Catholic Bible Study in Session"

if that doesn't work I suggest a moat and landmines.

I dont need to go to extremes.
Im not afraid of them.

They were shocked when I stated that I refused to interpret a specific passage in their bible for them after discussing the Trinity.
I told them that if they didnt understand something, they shouldnt ask me.
They should ask a priest.

they never come up to my house, but I would definitly welcome the debate. And so would they..they seem to think that if they find somebody that disagrees with them that its being 'persecuted' for Christ.

oh clueless people..

Have you ever wanted to play a trick on Mormons or Jehovah's Witnesses at your door?

Maybe answer the door in a Roman collar or a habit if you're a girl and see what they would do?

Or stand only two inches away from them while they're talking?

Or the best one....excessive flatulence.

Is that a christian response to someone God has sent to your house for you to convert? :)

No of course not. THe Christian response is to offer them a cold beer or a cup of coffee. After all, how can you discuss theology if the brain cells are not well lubricated?

The only annoying people who come to our door are the guys selling meat out of the back of their truck...

My Dad is a Jehovah's witness and one of my little brothers was just baptised as one. I even went to one of their circit meetings. My dad kept telling me to call if I had any questions.

In fact, this is part of what moved me to come back to the church :D .

Yeah, I can't bash on them. My dad is really happy and it's changed his life (quite litterally). But when I go visit him this winter break, I'm taking my rosary. Won't he be dissappointed?

Yeah, that's happened a couple of times actually. What in the world makes people think I want to by meat from a door to door salesman? I'll take the JWs and Mormons over them any day...
