shelly_freak Posted December 7, 2004 Posted December 7, 2004
I work at an information desk and our part timers seem pretty happy for the most part. I once had supervisory duties and it seemed to work the other way around...they supervised me! I'm sorry you aren't having a good experience with your work. That makes me
Oh this is one of the info desk ladies. She's way outta place and is always complaining to my boss about how we don't do our job right. People like that make me . I've contemplated quiting so many times
theculturewarrior Posted December 7, 2004 Author Posted December 7, 2004 libraries should be happy places to work.
shelly_freak Posted December 7, 2004 Posted December 7, 2004
libraries should be happy places to work.
-_- They should. Did I mention the fact that my boss told me he would like it the fellow pages and I didn't become too friendly with each other . Well too bad for him. Two of my best friends are also pages and we're not gonna stop being friends so he'll be happy  .
Sojourner Posted December 7, 2004 Posted December 7, 2004 I once worked in the children's section of our county library for the summer. It was really fun. I got to help with some of the educational classes, like pottery, and help out with the book program. I also got to order books at library rates, which are really cheap. I didn't even mind shelving, even though kids' books are thin and the spines are hard to read. But they're also a quick read, and if you wanted a break you could just read an interesting book really quick. I came to appreciate children's books a lot more after that. Libraries are fun places. :balloons:
Colleen Posted December 7, 2004 Posted December 7, 2004
Harold Hill dated Marian, the Librarian....
Marian: The librarian hasn't felt much like doing research lately, but she did plenty when you first came here. Harold Hill: What about? Marian: Professor Harold Hill. Gary Conservatory of Music, class of '05. Harold, there wasn't any Gary Conservatory of Music in '05. Harold Hill: Why, there most certainly w... Marian: Because the town wasn't even built until '06. I tore this page out of an Indiana Journal. I was going to use it against you, but now I give to you with my love. sorry, I love that movie.
Ash Wednesday Posted December 7, 2004 Posted December 7, 2004 I work in a university library. We're in our own little office because nowhere else on campus has room for us, so I'm around a lot of librarians. They can be a bit strange.

Sojourner Posted December 7, 2004 Posted December 7, 2004 We used to have a librarian at my college who would go into detail with students about his foot ailments, which were numerous and rather disgusting.

Thy Geekdom Come Posted December 8, 2004 Posted December 8, 2004
I wouldn't date the mullet if it was a woman, but if it was a guy ... maybe. If he had nice eyes.
See? I told you people that mullets aren't attractive. Ladies want nice eyes. My left eye has a discoloration that sorta makes the pupil look tear-drop shaped...
