Phazzan Posted December 8, 2004 Posted December 8, 2004
It's a wonder you have any friends
Just no Cafolic friends. Seriously though, some girls are attracted to cheaters (i.e. playerz). Don't ask me why, they just are. Sometimes they gotta learn the hard way, to learn at all.
BurkeFan Posted December 8, 2004 Posted December 8, 2004 Above all else, pray. But corporal punishment can knock sense into people as well. But, definitely pray for her and for him as well.

This is not a habit of hers, this is new, and we can't figure out why she would stay with him after this.
Balthazor Posted December 8, 2004 Posted December 8, 2004 I think some girls just can;t resist a big, fat, project. It is like the bigger the loser the more a girl thinks that she can change him. Guys don't change, don't try to change them, get a good one in the first place and sane yourself a lot of hassle and heartbreak.

Phazzan Posted December 8, 2004 Posted December 8, 2004
I changed.
LOL from what a bad boy LOLLLLL? Raph the "pLaYeR" LOL!!!!!!!!
Thy Geekdom Come Posted December 8, 2004 Posted December 8, 2004
was it because of a girl?
Yes, but not directly. Either way, men can and do change.
Some girls can give the impression of being sweet, innocent little angels, but deep down they crave a "bad boy" to keep them in line. It's psychological. Lots of girls are turned on by being treated mean, used, abused and cheated on. Most girls don't like gentlemen, pure and simple.

Balthazor Posted December 8, 2004 Posted December 8, 2004 I have been through a lot of heart ache from men that didn't change. I have also had wet shoulders for years from friend crying on them becuase thier boyfriends did not change... don;t date a guy to change him. YOu may be the exception Micah. But I know too many of the norms, that don't change. And I know too many girls that allow themsleves to be used while they try and change thier man. It almost always ends in tragedy. I do know a few guys that have changed....but it was more do to God and near death experience than nagging and crying heartbroken girlfriends. I am not saying that guys can't or don't change it is just that it almost always happens because of something other than a girl. Either they suddenly grow up or they have a kid or something....... some of them just snap out of drunken party mode at around 23 and decide that they need to get married as fast as possible. It happens to girls too so don't feel like I am being all bitter and stuff toward guys.....girls are just as bad. Bottom line don't date a person to change them....not a good idea usually doesn't work.
I wasn't giving a "psychological profile of your friend" Azaelia, but that's what it's like in the real world, generally, for some women. Catholic women operate differently, I hope.
Spiritual_Arsonist Posted December 8, 2004 Posted December 8, 2004 For the cheating man: He needs a copy of the Catechism...badly. Maybe someone needs to have a talk with him and lay the law down. If he is possibly leading souls away, some admonishment is in order. For the poor Girlfriend: Prayer first of all is the best thing. Then tell her "ask yourself, is this relationship healthy in any way, and is it leading anywhere that will produce ANY kind of fruit?"

spathariossa Posted December 8, 2004 Posted December 8, 2004 Blech. Things like this remind me why I've committed my life to celibacy.
heyyoimjohnny Posted December 8, 2004 Posted December 8, 2004 (edited) Oy.. give me five minutes with the guy, just five minutes... wait, no, an hour. I'll need to make sure he'd listen before I started talking... I'll be sure to pray. Edited December 8, 2004 by heyyoimjohnny
